There have been wildfires up here in Quebec and a few in Ontario. The air is very smokey. It’s been recommended that everyone stay indoors as much as possible, especially high risk health because the air quality is so bad. They are even saying to keep your pets inside as much as possible. The crazy part is that it’s not just bad here, I have friends in Vermont and Massachusetts that are getting the same air quality warnings. NYC is on the news because the smoke is so bad there! Crazy that these fires up here in Canada are having such a far reach.
I’ve been doing my best to stay indoors except for masking up to take Rebel out to do what he needs to do. We are missing our longer walks!

We were in Kitchener this weekend for Helena’s baby shower. She is my cousin, Will's wife. We stayed with my cousin, Rhys and his wife, Live. It’s nice to spend extra time with them and their kids. The shower was a lot of fun. Helena’s mum and dad hosted at their house. We finally got to use the decorations from her cancelled Bridal Shower, thanks to covid, but they came in handy today. My cousin Rhiannon also had a bunch of games set up. The Portuguese food was really tasty!

Busy day today! I had my thirteen week ultrasound and blood draw in Ottawa. Mum was with me. Not only do we get to see the little baby but they look at the baby and take blood to look for any signs of trisomy 21 or 18. The baby looks great. They are still measuring about 2 days ahead. We got some cute little profile pictures. Looks like an actual baby!!!
After the ultrasound we came right back to Smiths Falls for my first appointment with the OBGYN, Dr. Kerner. That appointment went well too. Basically just an introduction
