All signs are pointing to pregnant!

I ended up going on a little roadtrip for Easter weekend to see my cousin, Andrea and her family. I realize it seems to be WAY to early, but I started getting dizzy spells on Saturday afternoon, then again on Sunday and Monday. I also had random queasiness over those three days too. Is this all in my head?

I can’t stop peeing!!! I went pee four times in an hour. Again this all seems too early but I did read that going to the bathroom more frequently can be one of the first symptoms. I hope I'm not getting my hopes .

The peeing continues. I woke up three times in the middle of the night to pee. Still getting the random dizziness and queasiness as well.

I took a drive down to Beverly, MA to visit with family and friends for Patriots Day weekend/Marathon Monday (only a Massachusetts holiday). I was nauseous for most of the ride. I’ve never been one to get car sick so that was strange. I’ve also been so tired today and had a bit of a headache.

We went to our family friend’s tonight for dinner. I use to babysit their boys that are in High School now! On the way to their house I got a sniff of my perfume and it was the first time I thought I might actually throw up. As soon as we got to their house I aggressively washed my wrists and neck in the bathroom to make sure I wouldn’t smell it again. I was then handed a huge glass of wine. I haven’t been drinking since before the procedure so I ended up telling them what I am doing. They were very happy and supportive.

Today was Marathon Monday in Boston. I went into the city with friends for a very rainy Red Sox game at Fenway. I'm 99% sure I'm pregnant. So as much as I wanted a fenway frank, I didn't get one. I did get a cider that I held and had a sip of here and there before tossing in the trash to avoid questions. I'm glad I didn't end up having too many liquids at all today because we ended up getting stuck on the green line for almost two hours. They whole time I was panicking that I would start to feel sick or have to pee but I managed to keep it together!

I couldn’t wait any longer. I took a test. I took THREE tests.

Clear Blue early detection: Pregnant

Life (shoppers drug mart store brand) early detection: Two pink lines

Clear Blue Plus: Positive

I’M FRIGGIN PREGNANT!!!

When I saw the first test I immediately started crying. I’m currently staying with my best friend, Jess. She gave me the biggest hug even as I was holding a pee stick in my hand. Then I started laughing and crying. After I calmed down I started calling people.

First I called my mum. She’s very excited. She was crying. She’s also called me three other times today just to check on me. After that I called my sister, my dad and then my brother and his girlfriend, Meredith. After that I called my cousin, Andrea and her family. Then I called my cousin, Rhiannon. I also sent messages to other people I’ve been speaking to about this. Probably too many people but oh well!

I called the fertility clinic and they asked that I take another one on the 21st. I guess their standard practice is to test 17 days after the procedure. So I will take another one or two on Friday. I have to call back after that to schedule some blood tests.

I am so excited! I cannot believe this is finally happening. The due date according to the baby apps is December 26th. This baby is going to be so loved!

I’m still pregnant! Took another couple tests this morning to confirm and then called the fertility clinic to let them know and set up the confirmation blood test.

Back north of the border and I had my confirmation blood test today. Confirmed with blood! I am pregnant. Progesterone is at 96 and HCG is at 13,493. My googling tells me those are high numbers for 5 weeks pregnant. Everyone keeps telling me I’m having twins. AHHH!
